The cost of an IELTS test in New Zealand is $445.
The price for the exam is the same whether you take IELTS General Training or IELTS Academic. There is no separate registration fee or payment processing fee. There is also no late payment fee.
However, note that some locations may be subject to an additional surcharge.

Once you find an IELTS Test Centre and a test date that suits you, follow the steps to book your test.
You must have a clear and legible scanned copy of your current valid passport to upload when applying. The copy you upload must be of the page(s) with your photo, name, date of birth, passport number, and expiry date.

IELTS provides you with an official, secure, digital and paper Test Report Form (TRF).
eTRFs are now available for customers who sit the IELTS on computer test. The eTRF will be available in your booking profile as a downloadable PDF file.
If you sat the paper test, we can either post the TRF out to you or you can come to pick up your results. If you need your original TRF urgently, you can always ask your test centre to express post it to you (just be aware there might be a small additional charge for this).

There are a few ways to pay for your IELTS test. Every test centre will have different payment options available. Generally, you will be able to use the following payment methods available:

You don’t need to submit passport photographs when booking an IELTS test online. You are required to attach a scanned copy of your current valid passport only.
In order to ensure that the language ability of all test-takers is assessed fairly and objectively, IELTS provides a comprehensive service for test-takers who have special requirements, including specific learning difficulties, hearing difficulties and visual difficulties, medical conditions or infant feeding.
If you require a modified version of IELTS, you must give your test centre at least six weeks’ notice.
If your circ*mstances require special arrangements to be made, e.g. extra time, you must also give the test centre six weeks’ notice.
Please note: in some cases, special requirements may take up to 3 months to organise.
